Erica Sibley, ARIDO
With a strong aptitude for spatial reasoning from a young age, when Erica Sibley, ARIDO came across interior design as a profession, she knew she’d found her calling. She attended the University of Guelph and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Art History – a field that she is still enthusiastic about to this day. Erica then graduated from Humber College’s Bachelor of Interior Design program. Throughout the course of her degree at Humber, she developed strong conceptual interpretation skills while further developing her understanding of how details work together to form a final project. Erica loves that her career affords her the ability to continuously learn and is always excited to apply new knowledge to her work.

Maia Roffey, ARIDO | Black Sheep Interior Design
Maia Roffey has always been one to avoid the ordinary. An avid student, she found herself in law school feeling constrained by the conformity and predictable career options. When her need for creativity drove her to shift gears into the design, she welcomed the change. Establishing her own firm in 2013 provided the opportunity to make her unique blend of intellect, creativity, professionalism, and sass, a way of life.
Maia's formative years were spent in a home built by famed Canadian architect Ron Thom. Visits to properties in Toronto’s Forest Hill and Rosedale neighbourhoods, and trips further afield to the Laurentians and Barbados cemented her appreciation for elegant architecture and beautifully executed spaces.
A graduate of McMasters multi-disciplinary Arts & Science program in Hamilton Ontario, Maia took a brief detour into law school on the west coast before finding her niche in design. She graduated with honours from Ryerson’s School of Interior Design and completed her BCIN, LEED AP, and NCIDQ designations before founding Black Sheep Interior Design.
With an approach that is as creative as it is rational, Maia’s design sense is fueled by sun-filled travels. Whether diving in the Caribbean, mini-breaking in Miami or resting up in cottage country, she loves to soak up the materials and aesthetics of get-a-way destinations. She is also a dedicated volunteer and proudly combines her love of design and philanthropy as Chair of the annual Home for Life fundraiser for Eva’s Initiatives, a charity fighting youth homelessness in the GTA.
