Our client requested that Lanna Thai Cuisine embody the uptown dining experience. Far north from Toronto’s downtown dining, in the heart of Markham, Lanna Thai Cuisine connects the two forward-thinking cities and refreshes new era dining. Situated below the Marriott Markham, Lanna Thai Cuisine provides an upscale option for the locals and visitors alike.
Upon entry, customers are greeted by the bespoke, oxidized bronze panels of the bar’s backdrop, establishing the open and airy atmosphere, reminiscent of a vacation in South East Asia. Each area of the restaurant welcomes you with its own unique feel. The VIP seating overlooks the restaurant area, with a large royal blue glass panels and gold trims.
High ceilings and tall windows provided an opportunity to adorn the space with a large, custom chandelier, shining brightly to those outside. The deep green of the walls and ceiling are chosen to emulate the deep rich foliage of the Thai monsoonal forests.
To allude to a far away place, we designed Lanna Thai Cuisine to welcome diners with a tropical fantasy. The finished product is an elevated, opulent space which fosters a contemporary dining experience.
