Anne Carlyle is an award-winning designer with over 35 years experience in planning and design for public and institutional facilities. She focuses on community, education and health care facilities as well as on environments for children, the elderly and those living with special needs.

Committed to creating vibrant places that convey meaning and inspire well-being, many of her projects have been recognized for emphatic use of public art woven into the overall design concept.

Notable projects on which she and her colleagues have worked include: the $100 million Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto – ARIDO Award 2006; One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Centre in North Bay, Ontario – ARIDO’s project of the year in 2010; Saint Vincent Hospital and the Mother House of the Sisters of Charity in Ottawa; the creation of a children’s hospital within the hospital at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota; a modernization study for the Bank of Canada; the office of the Librarian of Parliament; public spaces within Library and Archives Canada; a new $30 million Ronald McDonald House Toronto – ARIDO Award 2012; North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit – Best of Canada in Canadian Interiors 2018 Design Competition; and numerous projects for federal government offices, schools and community health centres.
